Amid international condemnation, Trump has decided to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of ‘Israel’ and move the US embassy to the city in the sixth of December.

Washington vetoed in the Security Council an Arabic draft resolution, presented by Egypt, that underlines that it will not recognize any changes to the 4 June 1967 lines and urges the nations to refrain from the establishment of diplomatic missions in the Holy City of Jerusalem. However, the UN General Assembly has voted 128 to 9, with 35 abstentions, for this resolution. (Hamza Deirawi)
